The Year So Far…
SWR – Trivarsity Welcome Reception (March)
Thank you to everyone who came down to the Trivarsity SWR this year! We hoped you enjoyed the dinner, games and company and had a great night!
We would also like to deeply thank the Mayor for being a guest at our event, and for personally greeting each and every one of us! We really appreciate your hospitality and warmth! We would also like to extend our thanks to the SA Committee, Flinders Committee, AUG and the OSU for speaking during the SWR, and for welcoming the new Singaporeans in Adelaide.
Once more, we hope Singaporean Freshers feel welcomed and know that there is a network that will support them throughout their studies here in Adelaide.
SA ROAD TRIP (April)
The SA road trip was a fun-packed day! – To making friends with adorable farm animals and marsupials, to paddle boarding in chilly waters and to enjoying beautiful sunsets.
We would like to thank the SA Committee for all their hard work in making this road trip possible!
Last but not least, thank you so much to everyone who came on the Road Trip! We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves and created many good memories with their fellow Singaporeans who went on this trip! 😊
SA POT LUCK (May)
Our first ever SA potluck was a huge success!
It was a great night of bonding over food and games between Singaporeans from different courses and from all years of study, and even those that had already graduated!
We hope that everyone who came enjoyed themselves, got to catch up with friends and also had a good break from their busy schedules! We want to say thank you to the comm for everyone that was a part of this and we hope to see an even bigger turnout next year!
SG BUZZ (May)
This year we had Ms Eunice Olsen, a former Miss Singapore Universe winner, as our guest speaker at this year’s SG Buzz who shared with us more on social activism.
Having a heart of service, Ms Olsen advocates volunteerism and actively gives back to society through volunteer work with many organisations such as Tao Payoh Girl’s Home, Muscular Dystrophy Association of Singapore, Singapore Red Cross and World Vision.
As a former nominated Member of Parliament, she also championed causes for the disabled, the environment, youth at risks, awareness on cervical cancer, aids and human rights.
We hope that everyone who participated had a meaningful time at this conference, and has a great understanding on how to make positive impact on society as a servant leader. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the conference.
Last but not least, we would like to thank Miss Eunice Olsen for sharing her invaluable experiences and lessons with us, and for her social work in Singapore and other International Communities. We hope that you will continue to inspire many others to give back to society and to continue be a role model for social activism! We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your time in Adelaide!
